Wedding dresses with pockets are absolute genius! After all, a bride always needs somewhere to keep her lippy… Plus, take a look at the model brides in this post. Posing with their hands in their pockets adds an air of confidence (as well some nice hip action.) Presenting my favourite wedding dresses with pockets. Enjoy!
1 & 2
The jewel-encrusted neckline of Hayley Paige’s ivory Cleo gown (top) is stunning but what really catches my attention are the pockets! Same goes for this Oleg Cassini gown (above.) My inner magpie was first drawn to the sequins but it’s the pockets that would make me say ‘Yes’ to the dress.
I’m a sucker for a Sassi Holford gown anyway and this champagne tinted silken gown (above) ticks every one of my bridal boxes. The secret pockets cement it as beyond perfect….
Lihi Hod is fast becoming my favourite bridal designer – and not just because quite a few of her dresses come with pockets. Leigh is divine: I love the thin straps sitting atop a straight neckline; and Amber is to-die-for with its v-neck plunging to a pretty belted waist. Then there’s Audrey with it’s stunning sweetheart neckline and bowed waist and Shila (above) with it’s thigh-high slit. All perfectly pocketed.
If I had the body, I’d slip it into a Berta gown like the one above. I mean look at this: a plunging neckline falling to a sheer, embellished A-line skirt. And pockets, of course…
There is so much to love about the Casablanca gown above. The embellished bodice, the scallop’d trim and the chic satin floor-skimming skirt. Oh, and the pockets of course…
I wanted to add in a shorter length gown and plumped for the one above. It obviously ticks my pockets box but I’m a fan of any dress that covers my upper arms and allows me to flaunt a fabulous shoe….
The lace straps are optional but the pockets come as standard. Though nothing about this oh-so-romantic gown can ever be described as standard. It’s stunning. Scroll through Justin Alexander’s special section on dresses with pockets which you can see here
The above Jesus Peiro dress had me at hello. The sheer side panels against antique white taffeta, the bow which gives way to the tulip skirt. And then the pockets. Jesus Peiro is as much a fan of pockets as I am. Check the collection for lots more choice.
And so my penchant for pockets continues with the little beauty above from Catherine Deane. This time they’re subtly hidden within the folds of crisp white satin.
Last but not least comes the above Justin Alexander dress with its sparkling trim across the neckline, waist and pockets. How amazing would you feel casually posing in this full-skirted frock with your hands slipped into your pockets.
If you struggle with posing for photographs, I truly believe that wearing a wedding dress with pockets will be a godsend. I’d love to know what you think.
