About Me

sarah reece wedding

Welcome to

Congratulations! Enjoy every moment of craziness that’s now coming your way until the wedding.

I’m here to help you stress-less about your bridal look. Think of this website as your little “white” book – it’s bursting with hair ideas, make-up tips, skincare plans, figure fixers and fashion inspo to help ensure you look your most beautiful on the big day.

A little about me: I’ve been a beauty editor for donkeys. My first job was on more! magazine (where my job description included styling the male centrefolds as well as overseeing the beauty pages. A hard life eh? No pun intended…) I then grew up and went gorgeously glossy on New Woman before landing a dream job writing the beauty sections for both Cosmo Bride and You & Your Wedding. As well as these full-time roles, I’ve also dipped my OPI’d toes into the freelance world writing for a bunch of print and digital publications.

So apart from the fact that I love all things beauty, the reason I launched is because I adored every minute of my own wedding whirl. Writing this site means I get to play bride-to-be forever!

Within posts I try to include as many of the beauty experts I’ve been lucky to meet during my magazine years. Dress designers, hair pros, make-up artists, derms, perfumers and personal trainers (and how I wished I followed the latter’s advice more before I got hitched!)

I really hope you love this site as much as I love putting it together.

With confetti-flavoured kisses

Work with me!

If you would like to work with, I’m open to review or collaboration opportunities, so long as I genuinely love the product you’re looking to place and it’s relevant to brides-to-be.

I’m also happy to consider sponsored and guest posts, again providing it’s a big ‘I do’ to the criteria I mentioned above. Please email me to discuss my rates.

I’m also available for freelance work, whether it’s as a writer or a brand ambassador. And if you’re willing to mention my rates are very attractive!

PR samples

Being sent a jiffy bag stuffed with samples to try from PRs will always be exciting (I’m a beauty junkie after all) but it’s not new for me. As an ex-magazine beauty editor, this has been a regular (happy) occurrence for over 20 years and just because I’ve been sent a freebie doesn’t automatically get a mention on the site. Please be assured that any product credited on this website – or through my social media channels – is there for one reason only; because I love it and I would/do use it myself. That said, please do try in-store before you buy or ask for samples (particularly skincare) as what suits my skin/hair/body might not be a match in bridal skin/hair/body heaven for you. I haven’t been paid to mention anything, however having said that…

Sponsored posts

Whilst I’m still working as a freelance beauty writer, of course I’d love this website to be commercially successful too, if only to recoup the fees I have to shell out to keep it running. If I do accept a paid-for-post a. it will say so and b. I believe that it’s relevant to brides-to-be and would use it myself. I think long and hard about every branded opportunity that comes up.

Affiliate links

There’s not a lot of scope¬† for affiliate links as I’m so choosy about the products I recommend. However, should you find one, it’s a happy coincidence and is genuinely a product I love.
